Brefni O'Rorke

Brefni O'Rorke was an Irish actor who appeared in both stage and film productions. He started his acting career in 1912 at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin, where he performed in several plays by George Bernard Shaw. He married Alice Cole, a South African actress and the mother of Cyril Cusack, in 1916. He moved to London in the 1930s and became a regular on the BBC television broadcasts. He also acted in many British films, mostly in supporting roles, such as The First of the Few, They Flew Alone, and Perfect Strangers. He died in 1946 at the age of 57. He was known for his kindly and gentle demeanor and his Irish accent.
