About me / Bio:
Menkaura was the fifth or sixth king of the Fourth Dynasty of Egypt during the Old Kingdom. He is well known for his pyramid, the smallest of the three main pyramids of Giza, and his statue triads, which showed him alongside the goddess Hathor and various regional deities. He was the son and probably the successor of Khafre, and the grandson of Khufu. He had at least two wives and three children. He reigned for 18 or 28 years, according to different sources, and was succeeded by his son or brother Shepseskaf. His reign was marked by peace and prosperity, and he was revered as a wise and benevolent ruler by later generations.
